Bridal garter tradition?

Traditionally, the garter toss would take place at the wedding reception where the groom would remove the wedding garter from the bride's upper thigh and toss it into a crowd of eligible bachelors. Superstition has it that the man who watched the wedding garter and the woman who catches the bouquet will be the next to get married. Many brides still wear wedding garters without carrying out the full bridal tradition.
